Subway Art is not only the best selling, but probably the most influential graffiti book of all time. In the 70s- when graffiti was still in its infancy- Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant obtained access to the New York graffiti scene. Documenting what they found, they then presented their findings to the world in 1984.
30 years later, the two have decided to reissue the classic, which was seen as a Bible for an entire generation of painters. The new edition contains more than 70 flicks, some of which were not included in the original edition, such as new text passages in which Cooper and Chalfant discuss the early development of the book.
