DTLS é um colectivo de writers que acredita que o sensacionalismo, a superficialidade e o entretenimento são a expressão maior de uma indiferença passiva que tudo aceita como sendo cultura. Atuam nas ruas da área do grande Porto, em diferentes superfícies, privilegiando métodos experimentais e espontâneos. Acreditam que o contexto influencia o resultado, logo a forma segue a função. «Fazemos isto porque precisamos... não é pela adrenalina... vemos a cidade de uma perspetiva diferente... é isto que o graffiti nos oferece.» Na exposição Playground, DTLS não trazem o graffiti para dentro da galeria — trazem a dúvida, a resiliência e a vontade de continuar a perguntar. Não é sobre espetáculo. É sobre forma, contexto, sobrevivência. É sobre desenhar no blackbook quando lá fora tudo arde.

“Street Gnomes”⁠ by GUTFACE

GUTFACE is an artist coming from Estonia, the edge of Europe. He now lives in Tartu and is working as a freelance artist, illustrator and graphic designer. During the past years he has been touring around Europe with street art festival Stencibility exhibition “Hello Mister Police Officer” and is a proud member of lowbrow collective Brain Vomit in Tartu. ⁠

André da Loba

Born in Aveiro (Portugal), and as an illustrator, animator, graphic designer, sculptor, and educator, his work is an invitation and a challenge to change the world, however big or small it might be. After having lived in Brooklyn, New York, he recently moved to Porto. He has published more than a dozen books in Portugal, Spain and Brazil and his work has been recognized internationally by The Society of Illustrators NY, Communication Arts, CMYK, 3×3 Magazine, Creative Quarterly, Ilustrarte and The Bologna Children’s Book Fair.

The concept of "OVERLAY" exhibition is based on the idea of overlapping layers in order to create a modular piece that can differ according to the viewers intention when assembling it, having the freedom to re-arranging each composition to their liking.
