Extra virgin olive oil CUXO is pressed from only one variety of olive named Negrinha de Freixo. This is the typical olive of the region, but it isn’t typical to make oil from it. The olives are big and beautiful, due to this in the old days people tended to prepare them to eat rather than press oil. We decided to make some tests and analyses showed, that oil from Negrinhas is soft, fluid and full of antioxidants.
Olives are all hand-picked one by one, oil is cold pressed and not filtered. It has subtle aroma of green banana and leaves a light and spicy feeling in the throat. It is rich in omega 9, antioxidants, vitamins A, D, E and K.
