Born and raised in Portugal, Ana Areias, aka Ana Types, studied graphic design at the Fine Arts Faculty of Porto’s University. She vibrates with the graphic power of colors, simple shapes and with everyday objects. From traditional to contemporary, from artistic to highly functional, from minimal to kitsch, objects shape everyone’s life and routine in many ways. As well, she falls in love with complex ornaments and the peak of her nationalism being a Bordalo Pinheiro swallow. She doesn’t love patterns, she’s built on them.
